What is CBC?
CBC stands for the Competency-Based Consultant Certification framework.
As an integral part of this framework an online tool has been developed to facilitate the mentoring and development process of consultants in training as well as the tracking of organisational staff development. The tool is called Competency Manager.
Competency Manager helps you to…
- track the professional development of your mentees
- communicate easily with your mentees about the assigned activities in their development plan
- keep a record of their accomplishments and progress
- facilitate the certification process.
Overview of the CBC mentoring process
The following four presentations explain in detail how the mentoring process works to facilitate the professional development and certification of consultants in training.
Understanding Competency-Based Certification
Understand the competency-based certification framework; Have an overview of the mentoring process

How can I learn to use Competency Manager?

2. Try out one of the demo accounts. Demo accounts allow you to access Competency Manager without an official account. They also let you test features and try things out until you feel comfortable using the tool with one of your mentees.
